Been there, done that. Not quite as lavish a stage, but this is the Austin Opera production of Aida from 2015, and that’s me, stage left.
That’s me on the left. Not only did I get paid for the show, I got paid extra because I was on stage, and extra again because I was in costume. The worst part of the gig was standing on that platform 10 feet in the air. It shook when the chorus moved around behind us. A good production manager also would have noticed how the two of us aren’t holding our horns at the same angle.
